เรื่องน่ารู้เกี่ยวกับ "ใบแป๊ะก๊วย"

แป๊ะก๊วย เป็นไม้ยืนต้น มีชื่อทางพฤกษศาสตร์ว่า จิงโก้ บิโลบา (Ginkgo Biloba) สารสกัดจากใบแป๊ะก๊วย เรียกว่า Extract inkgo Biloba หรือ EGB
สารสกัดจากใบ แปะก๊วย เรียกว่า Extract Ginkgo Biloba ( EGb) มีฤทธิ์ทางด้านการป้องกันเซลล์สมอง ( Neuroprotective ) จากการขาดเลือด โดยมีสารออกฤทธิ์ คือฟราโวนไกลโคไซด์ ( Flavone glycoside ) และ เทอร์ปีน แลคโตน ( Terpene Lactones ) และสาร Gingolide B
กลไกการออกฤทธิ์
มีสองแบบคือ หนึ่ง ยับยั้งการจับตัวของเกร็ดเลือด ( Platlet Aggregation ) และปรับความยืดหยุ่นของผนังเกร็ดเลือด ( Regulating blood vessel elasticity ) จึงช่วยเพิ่มการไหลเวียนของเลือด ในเนื้อเยื่อต่างๆทั่วร่างกาย ให้ดีขึ้น กลไกที่สองคือ ฤทธิ์ทางด้าน ต้านอนุมูลอิสสระ ( Antioxidant หรือ hydroxyl radical scavenging activity) ( อ้างอิงที่ 1,2 ) ประโยชน์ทั้งหมดในรายงานทางการแพทย์ของแป๊ะก๊วย มีในผู้สูงอายุ เนื่องจากผู้มีอายุมักจะมีเลือดไหลเวียนไม่ดีในบางส่วน จากเส้นเลือดแข็งตัวบ้าง หรือมีเส้นเลือดตีบจากไขมันอุดตันหรือจากโรคต่าง ๆ การที่เลือดไปเลี้ยงสมองไม่พอ

หลักฐานทางการแพทย์ในคนไข้ ที่มีรายงานว่าได้ผลชัดเจน
1. เพิ่มความจำและลดอาการทางสมองที่ไม่พึงประสงค์ในผู้สูงอายุ ( อ้างอิงที่ 1-4 )
2. ลดอาการของโรค อัลไซเมอร์ ( Alzheimer )หรือสมองเสื่อมจากการที่เลือดไปเลี้ยงสมองไม่พอ ( Multi -infarct Dementia ) ( อ้างอิงที่ 5-8)
3. โรคเสียงในหู ( Tinnitus ) และ เวียนศรีษะในผู้สูงอายุ ( อ้างอิงที่ 9, 10 )
4. ลดอาการปวดเมื่อยหรืออ่อนล้า หรือเป็นตะคริว ของกล้ามเนื้อแขนขาจากการขาดเลือดของเนื้อเยื่อร่างกาย (อ้างอิงที่ 11-15 )
ขนาดของแปะก๊วยที่ใช้ในรายงานทางการแพทย์คือประมาณ 120 มิลลิกรัม ( 3 แคปซูลต่อวัน ) โดยจะทานเวลาใดก็ได้ จะแบ่งเป็นหลังอาหาร 3 มื้อ หรือทานรวมเป็นมื้อเดียวก็ได้

ข้อควรระวัง
1. เนื่องจากไม่มีรายงานที่ใช้ในเด็ก และสตรีมีครรภ์จึงไม่แนะนำให้ เด็กและสตรีมีครรภ์รับประทาน
2. โดยหลักการแล้ว ไม่ควรรับประทาน ถ้าทานยาต้านการแข็งตัวของเลือด ( แอสไพริน และ วอรฟาริน ) ในผู้ป่วยที่มีประวัติเส้นโลหิตในสมองแตก หรือโรคทีเกี่ยวกับการแข็งตัวของเลือด
