-This salt meter measures a salt concentration (wt%) of a sample which has a relatively
low viscosity like water, salt water, thin sauce, thin soup and etc.
-For a higher viscosity sample, you can also measure a salt percent (%) by adding the same weight of water to the sample. Then measure the diluted sample by half, read the value and multiple the value by 2.
-This salt meter can measure a salt % of hot food, so you do not need to cool down food to measure a salt percent of food. Another strong point of this is that it is not affected by sugar or sugar contents. Normally, salt refractometers can not measure a salt concentration of a mixed salt and sugar sample.
